![]() Calling ALL riders, we are asking for your immediate help and support!
TW (Ted Williams), also known as Meadowbrook, has been the center of controversy regarding it's rideability and it could potentially suffer the same consequences we have seen at other local areas in the past (Flightline, Tunnels, etc.). If you have ever had the pleasure of experiencing the trails there, you know it is simply one bad ass place! One trail specifically (4G's which meets up with Insanity) is probably one of the best DH trails in North County. We are in the process of meeting with some of the local land managers to discuss what can be done to salvage the privilege of using this specific area of land. I want to reemphasize the word PRIVILEGE. In the mean time, we ask everyone who continues to use the land there do his or her part (and duty as a fellow rider) by helping us with the following; 1. Pick up trash; even if it's not yours, please help out. If everyone commits to picking up just one piece of trash every time they ride there, we will make a noticeable difference very quickly. (BTW, you should be doing this anyway if you care about this planet). Please do not be specific about who's trash you will and will not pick up; trash is trash, and it needs to be removed! 2. Do not build extra features into the terrain ! (especially on or next to DFG property..see map below) TW already has a sufficient amount of trail features and the building of any further features will risk our ability to access the land in the future. If you absolutely must build a jump, at least WAIT until there is a clearer understanding of the property boundaries and legalities of this area. DO NOT RISK EVERYONE'S ABILITY TO USE THE LAND THERE simply because you 'feel' you need another feature! 3. Help us keep motorized vehicles off the land! We know that some of the local kids are riding their 50cc bikes there and we also know of people driving their trucks/SUVs onto the trails to get closer to the stunt/jump area. PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS OR PARTICIPATE/CONDONE IT! First of all, it is illegal; and second, it WILL MOST CERTAINLY RUIN any chance we have of accessing this wonderful piece of land. We will continuously keep this page updated with any news and or developments about this issue. We simply ask that if you care about being able to enjoy this great area, you do your part and forward this to any and all of your riding friends, groups, etc. WE NEED TO SAVE TW!
